There might be a decent game in there somewhere, but what awful execution!

1. Can't exit the game other than through ALT+F4.
2. Can't save the game.

I know it's supposed to "save automatically after every puzzle." It doesn't. I beat the first two puzzles (crossword and snowmobile), talked to the guy, hit escape (nothing happened), quit using ALT+F4. Next time it's back to "New Game." What kind of crap is this?

I dunno what's wrong with your game, but I hit Escape and the menu comes up.

And my game saves fine after puzzles are completed...

Basically it seems that until you get into the hotel, the game doesn't save or allow you to enter the menu...

Through the basic tutorial and a whole bunch of cutscenes, and being unable to even access the Main Menu in the meanwhile...

It was odd, but it didn't take all that long to get there. Hell, the entire game took me 3.4 hours to beat. Once you get to the hotel, the menu is available and everything you do is autosaved.
