View Full Version : Purchased Steam game not installing?

So I bought the Indie Clever Pack for my mac because it was only like 5 dollars. And even though I only really play on my macbook and only 2 games are for mac, I wanted all of the games just in case I wanted to download them onto my desktop PC in the basement. So all was going to plan when i was installing them on my mac (even though i wont be able to play 3 of them) until I got the notorious "steam servers are too busy to handle your request" message. I was a little worried but all of my games seemed to be installing...except ONE. Now all of my games are installed sept the one, thankfully its only a PC game. But I still want it. I paid for it after all. Its not on my games library list or any of that so im still wondering what to do. I restarted Steam but that didnt seem to do anything. Does anybody have any ideas? How do I fix this?

Which game? Would you mind posting a screenshot of your Steam library, set to "show all games"?

Do you have a PC you can check on to see if it's on your list there? I remember before TF2 and Gmod came out for Mac, they both disappeared off of Mac users' game lists. Maybe this is something similar. If you can, check to see if the game appears in your library on a Windows computer.

Can you log into your Steam account on a PC and see if the problem still exists?

well it shows up on my PC and its installed on my PC but upon logging back onto my mac it still doesnt show up. I guess it doesnt really matter seeing as how i cant play it on my Mac anyway. But its still annoying.

I bought the pack too, and the game isn't showing up in my list either (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7739498/Screen%20shot%202010-11-26%20at%2011.00.29%20PM.png). So at least it isn't just you.

If it helps at all, I too can confirm this issue. All the other games in the Clever Pack show up in my Mac Steam library but Doc Clock does not.

Thankyou for posting this btw. This was exactly the reason I came to the forum!
