Here is my idea:
Make a 'steam card' (similar to R4 card but legal) and make it like itunes were you buy the games (on the pc) and then upload them to the 'steam card'. Then you can buy all the games you want legit onto one card. :D

Im sure steam would find a secure way of doing something like this. The hardest part would surely be getting the rights to do it and then making the hardware.

Also DS developers can make demos for people to try out before buying the game.

What do you think? I think its an awesome idea.

DSi, it turns out. (http://www.nintendo.com/ds/online/dsiware) But near enough for Nintendo to lawyer up if Steam tried your suggestion.

99% of DSiWare is just plain crap. Beware of what you buy.

Or , you could open the ds(i) browser and go to the steam website.

+ you cant even store 1GB on a gamecard. You would need an micro-sd card of atleast 16GB in order to work well enough

People (including me) decide whether or not to buy a game based on the Demo. There are bad demos, but being able to select from a "store" would be ideal.

I really don't get this thread. What has the iTunes Appstore and the Nintendo DS to do with Steam?

It doesnt matter anymore but I was talking about how Steam could make a Nintendo DS download system similar to how itunes works. Were people can buy a 'Steam DS Card', buy games online (through 'Steam DS') and then upload them to the Card.

But like I said it doesnt matter because Nintendo has its own download service. :(
