Power Up Attack?

As I was going through the first mission it said you can right click to "power up" or add more strength to your attack. Not quite understanding how to do this... can anyone provide a tip?

If you right click a spot on the map (enemy or otherwise), you'll the action menu, which I'm pretty sure you're familiar with. Now, when you press right click on an action on that menu, you'll get what you're looking for.
