Will this game get better?

I'm going to sentinel island now and have mostly cleared broken valley except some quests. I have very mixed feelings from the game. Questing is fun and fighting is too when fighting on same lvl enemies. I just feel this game lacks ¨epickness¨ and it feels kinda lifeless. Will the story get really going ever or will it stay as execuse for questing and looting? I think so far its ok game but i just want to know is there any really good stuff to be expected.

Dont expect anything from the story.This isnt bioware or Beth soft.Expect the same type of story as diablo and other assorted action rpg's.EG not much.

RPGs are meant to be all story, which is why Diablo and Titan Quest Series games have been rather boringly dull to me, if i wanted action, i would play Call of Duty or something like that.
