My friend gifted me this game but i cant seem to get it to connect online. I receive "The Burnout Paradise servers are not available at this time. Please try again later." for the last 2 days and i have several EA accounts. I've tried deleting a certain autolog file and opened suggested ports but no luck. Google doesn't seem to help me either.

Having exactly the same problem. Regretting buying this in the sale, only reason I did was because my mate and I were going to play it online.

Waste of money.

just tried and could find two freeburn online games

Works for me. You should make sure you aren't blocking any TCP UDP transfers.

I opened up the ports too. Nothing seems to help right now.

Restarting steam fixed this for me. I bought this game a few months ago, i troubleshooted the hell out of this problem, finally restarted steam, it worked.

It may also be worth noting that having other ports forwarded may affect this games connection to the burnout servers.

Thank you for the confirmations that it's still up. I'm normally quite good at troubleshooting things like this, but after a few hours was getting quite frustrated. At least I know it works.

Will give it another proper look today.

Edit: Servers are up, finally got connected after some issues with my cd-key.

Edit - nevermind.

Is there an issue I have had this game for two days now. I have an account with EA and profile name but it always says servers not available. I have all ports open for the game. My steam server setting is Seattle WA

i was in game today and when i was free roaming i went to menu and was able to play online. just not a whole lot of ppl on so maybe no one had a game up. this game is not cod were even if no one is on there are lots of servers. were as this game is not that way.

Says you cannot connect to paradise servers at this time. I have a profile foophighter on ea. Ports are forwarded, if I put in the wrong password it catches that and says wrong password. I hate EA. complete waist of money without online play

not sure. i know i did the freeburn and it let me go online. i usually just like playing these games for the single player portion. played a couple racing games that had so many hackers so i give up playin them online.

Download a copy of the retail version online, mount or burn it, and then use the key from steam, and it works perfectly online.:D

i have a cd for mine. the online store part does not work for me though.

You just should not have to do that. To make it work online, complete crap steam should pull the game until ea fixes it. I know that will not happen but sheesh, I feel like im getting screwed.
