Various questions about the game

Hi,

As the title says I have some questions about the full game. I tried the demo and absolutely loved it. I feel like this is really a commonly overlooked gem. But anyways, the questions:

1) The store page mentions 15 missions. The demo by itself is already some 8-ish missions, so am i correct to assume that the demo is somewhere half - 1/3 the full game ?

2) I hear a lot about the free episodes, i really like the system, keeps the game fresh and interesting. But are there any plans/rumours/details about episode 3, 4, ... ?

3) At some point in the demo I could no longer gather energy, bug or feature ? (Mac OSX)

4) Can I install/use the linux version of this game when i buy it on steam ?

Im going to buy it anyways once I get some money (damn sales left me broke :( ) but it would be nice to know these things.

Thanks for the questions!

I'm glad you like my game!

The details in the store are a bit out of date now that we've added the new episode. There are now 30 playable missions plus community mod content you can download from the website.

More episodes will be coming, but I'm sorry I cannot say when. To keep from getting too burnt out on Caster, I've taken a break to work on another game. However, I will be returning to finish up the series.

The Linux version is very close to being updated with the latest episode. Since Linux games are not available on Steam, just shoot me an e-mail and I'll make sure you get a copy.

I'm not sure what the energy issue is. However, you can only increase the amount of energy earned on each level and you spend credits from total energy earned. IE if you replay levels, you will only get more credits if you collect more energy than you have previously on that level. Once you max out a level, that's it for the energy you can get there. However, to max out a level you would need to play it through without taking any damage to get the 2000 point no damage bonus.

Thanks for folowing up on this ! I also boyght the game since I didnt spend that much more during the rest of the sale ;)

It's true, the game has much more content then I anticipated based on the demo and store page. I'm currently working my way through ep 2, which is quite a lot harder :)

And the energy thing is exactly what you explained. I tried to max some more powers in the demo by replaying missions. Its a nice system since you are motivated to complete the missions as perfectly as possible without damage.

Sad to say, the linux version won't be necesary anymore. Submerging a running EEE in water is not a good idea ... :( All the linux I use from now on will probably be some minimalist/command line server usage.
