This was posted earlier, but the poster had it slightly wrong...

Ocean: 5000
Canyon: 3800
Forest: 3500
Mountain: 3695
Sky: 2525
Beyond: 2150


For a total by my (arguably flawed) count of 20,670 puzzles.

The quickest region to do is Ocean, of course, despite its having more puzzles than any other region. Beyond does have only half the puzzles, but while I could kill off a puzzle in Ocean in less than a minute, I figure that a puzzle in Beyond Beyond will probably take 20 minutes or more.
