Hello everyone.

I understand anyone with the 2.06 update has lost their progress. This is terrible and I am really really sorry. I am working to find out what happened. I know how it feels to lose your progress in a game, and it has stopped me playing several games in the past, so I really want to find out what happened so it cannot happen again.

Hi everyone.

The lost save progress in the update is caused by the file user.settings which was erroneously included somehow in the 2.06 update.

user.settings is an XML file which holds some* of the data regarding your game progress. Specifically it holds which levels you completed, and how far through the game you have progressed. Data on achievements and how long it took you to finish a level (edit: level time data was not being saved correctly, so that's all lost), along with other data that are used to determine achievements, are stored in other files, so that data should be OK.

What I am going to try to do is set the game to look in these other files and determine from that how far you had progressed. This should enable me to retrospectively recreate your save progress.

I can't give you an explanation on how the user.settings file got into the update, but it happened, so the best we can do is wait and see if I can get something together, which I'm going to try to do right now, this minute.

Edit: Attempts to fix the issue failed. See below for update.

Hi all.

Here's the situation:

Everyone should be on 2.05 now. The only people on 2.06 should be people who got the 2.06 update but haven't yet logged back in to Steam.

There will not be an update until 23 December. This is to ensure the maximum number of people possible revert to 2.05.

When the update arrives on 23 December, no saves should be deleted.

Anyone who wants to can update manually to 2.07 or later using our own patches.

Patch get (http://www.dyson-game.com/files/PatchEufloria.exe) - supply your path to Steam Eufloria (e.g. C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\eufloria).
