Just installed it and key is in use?

As the title says I recently installed the game and went on to play multiplayer, but it said my key was valid, but in use already. Just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this.

is it a new copy of the game? or did you pick up second hand? if its second hand, then theres not a lot you can do about.
If you brought it new, then get in touch with either the shop you brought it from, or activision and explane the situation, and see what they say.

But the game is brand new. Bought it off Steam. Would it be a steam issue or Activision?
