Hello,

First time that I launched Eufloria, I had no problems (it was 2.05 back then). It ran nice and smooth. But when I tried launching it again the next day (both 2.05 and later 2.06) it froze at the main menu, with two CPU cores used 100%. Memory usage is at ~160 MB and not rising. The game appears to render a new frame every 5-10 seconds, barely responsive. Music plays almost normally, with slight pauses every few seconds.

Here are my system specs, please let me know if you need more information.

OS: Windows 7 Pro x64 (build 7600)
System Language: English (en-us)
Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 965 (quad core), ~3.4 GHz
Memory: 4096 MB / 4 GB
DirectX: 11
Videocard: nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS, 320 MB VRAM
Display mode: 1680x1050, 32bit, 60 Hz
Audio: ASUS Xonar D2X, outputting stereo 2.0

I enjoyed the game, and I'd love to play more. Please let me know if there is a solution/workaround for this problem.

That's odd, that it worked at first and then stopped working. You have the absolute latest video card drivers from NVidia?

Yep, I just checked. I have 260.99 (released October 25th), which is the latest driver for my GPU/OS.

Also, I forgot to mention that the initial loading ("loading" and "generating assets") goes smoothly, and the massive slowdown starts as soon as the last the assets gets generated, right before the menu appears.

I also noticed that Lord Toothpaste appears to have a similar problem (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=19050843&postcount=96) (game using up the CPU / going unresponsive) in the "Technical support" thread, and he has the same videocard as me.

EDIT: I tried several other OpenGL and DirectX games, and all run fine. There are no custom/overridden settings in nVidia control panel either.

Update: The problem went away! I reinstalled nVidia drivers, and reinstalled Eufloria (wiping all settings and progress), and the framerate is back to normal. I'll update the thread if the problem returns.

Thanks for all the work that's going into Eufloria, I love the game! :D

I am having the same problem, I will try to update my drivers/reinstall.
