I played TR: Legend and enjoyed it. I am going to play TR: Anniversary and TR: Underworld someday. LC: GoL has my attention now. My question is (without spoilers), is LC: GoL a continuation of that series or is it a seperate/side adventure? Can I safely jump into this game then get back to the other series without fear of crossing continuity?

afaik it's a totally stand-alone game. I played it, and I certainly didn't feel like I was "missing" any previous story, or that the ending was ambiguous.

Yeah, aside from having Lara Croft in it, I think it's a completely separate adventure from the Anniversary -> Legend -> Underworld trilogy, which do have a consistent, connected storyline.
Though I haven't finished LC&GoL, I'd say you can play it as it's own thing without spoiling any of the real (;)) Tomb Raider games.

I'm not all that all-knowing about the Tomb raider storyline but from what I know, I saw no references to earlier games.
As I understand it, GoL was created with the puzzle-solving co-op as the main goodies and then they just made up a story really quickly to give you a reason to why you're running from point A to point B in the game. So I think you're safe from any kind of spoilers :)

Thanks all, I just finished up another game and am looking forward to starting GoL today.
UPDATE: I finished the LC: GoL and it is very much it's own story. There is no reference to any previous game or storyline. It also wraps itself up neatly at the end.
