How many still play UT?

I was thinking of buying one of the Unreal Tournament games through steam but was wondering if many people still play any of them?

Does anyone know what Unreal Tournament has the most active player-base and about how many players that includes?

Well I'd say go with 2004 or even ut99, since those are played by lots still.

Few people play UT3, but you can still get a match on without a problem, just not many to choose from.

Go with either Ut2k4 or UT99 and you will get alot more players, its like with the Quake series, not many on Quake 4 Multiplayer, but their are alot in Quake 3 and 2 Multiplayer. But many have gone to Quake Live anyway.

Well it's same here really, because alot of people have migrated to Call of Duty: Medal of Honour: Battlefield: Bad Company: Slightly discoloured Ops etc school of shooters.

But in all honesty, whichever UT you choose, there'll still people playing.

I say go with UT 2004. You can find populated Onslaught servers and Invasion Monster Hunt RPG servers. People still play UT99, too, but most of the populated servers have mods and you'll find very little regular weapons capture-the-flag (which was the flagship game of UT99).

i would say go with UT3 i can always find match's!

but i can't compare to UT2k4 since i don't own it

UT99 is still alive....AND yes u can still fine REG. servers up and runing..
