I was totally convinced it wasn't the real ending. I was so sure that there would be something after the credits. When the credits finished and it showed the office I was sure that there'd be something in the office to discover. I looked through the puzzles folder for something but no.
God damn it am I missing something or did Telltale set up for a sequel hook because if they released a follow up with more story I would buy the living ♥♥♥♥ out of it straight away. I want to know more! Are the gnomes aliens? Who was the guy in the space suit? What was happening. These are the real puzzles and I want to solve them. All the random things to take notes of, the fence, the spilled tobacco, where they just red herrings or jokes?
I NEED MORE!
Seriously either Telltale set up for an obvious sequel or they were trying to emulate the disappointment of working behind a desk all your life or to show that in life we cannot really solve the biggest puzzles and must live with the disappointment or are they just ♥♥♥♥ing with us?
What I'm really trying to say here is TELLTALE JUST TAKE ALL MY MONEY, TAKE IT ALL I WANT A SEQUEL I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!

I too was TOTALLY BAFFLED by the ending. I can understand it, i mean... if I accept it as a BAD ending. I enjoyed the game once I got over the feeling that I was playing a kids game. There were a lot of annoyances but the puzzles were good. Wish the ending was too though...

Agreed, I wanted more. Great game, kind of upset that the end was so abrupt.

I don't know if I could call it, as a game, great. The pointless 'cost' of tries. The waste of time watching the animation over and over and over again. But it was very good none the less. Good puzzles, and there was a story line. I think the dev's should play Dracula:Origins and then make the next game.

I've learned since that the game is a pilot. You know the way Telltale release games as episodes? Well they're releasing the game as a pilot and they plan to do the same with other games. Whether or not this gets made into a series depends on demand, so they made it intentionally to leave you wanting more. The designer also said that if they get a series agent Tethers will return to Scogins so if you want to find out what happens head over to Telltale's official forums and tell them you want more!

It's in the FAQ.

I thought the ending was great: In the eyes of the FBI, Tethers resolved the problem - the eraser factory was back up and running - and so the case could be closed. They weren't going to concern themselves with details.

After calming down a bit I think the ending fits perfectly. But I still want them to make this into a series so badly.

I was surprised by the fact that 75% of the map locations are unaccesible.
The chewed fence and the chewed fish were probably the gnomes, but what about the screwdriver?

I think the screwdriver might have just been left behind by Scruffman(?). Also, maybe the guy in the spacesuit was Danvers?

They're doing a sequel. But to be honest I hope they end the overall series on a similar note.
It's obviously inspired by Twin Peaks. It would be a funny homage.

The ending certainly left me baffled. It was very... abrupt. But it gives me incentive to jump straight into the sequel.
