I have the same problem. However it seems like Steam have run out of beta keys atm: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2204-OPGC-4862

if this is not the case I would like to know how to resolve it tho :)

I'm getting this error to, but I already have a beta key given to me by the game developers. I don't need steam to get me a key.

What's the fix here?

i have the same issue.im sure those beta keys arnt registerd with steam yet,steam likes to underestimate just about everything, either hold tight or just forget about the beta all together,i saw over 10,000 people joined the group, on steams page only saw 693 playing.so thumbs down for steam ruining something that worked.
