But still not happy. Even though I can play I see know one on. Servers are dead. I'm sure things will become even worse on the 18th. People will be heading over to BC2 Vietnam and BO will be on the back burner. I say a little to late for Tryarch even though they got our money. This is my last CoD game and it's sad since I've been playing since day one. Still one of my favorite series but with IW in shambles it's over. Tryarch is nothing but a clean up company and that's it. They are where all the 3rd class devs go because no one wants them... sorry but it's true.

Anyway who else can play now. Post specs so we can see who's PC's are working and those still not able to play the game.

Mine.
i7 980x
MSI GTX 460- SLI
EVGA X58 TRI SLI
300GB VelociRaptor
W7 Ultimate 64

I hope those with the right specs for the game can play. Feels like for ever waiting for the game to finally work.

After patch it seems slightly better but nowhere near good enough.

still getting slight stutter, still getting fps drops for no reason, still getting stuttery / loopy sound, menu still lags slightly

I could play the game since release day without any problems. Only the 2nd patch made the game freeze every now and then and now I haven't encountered any freezes like in the 2nd patch.

Stuttering is not a problem but the spawn system still seems jacked.

WinXP
Core 2 Quad Q6600
EVGA e-GeForce 9600 GT 512MB
2GB RAM

Still looks good and runs just fine. FPS are as good as they were from day one: 70 - 90+ with default settings; 4x AA, automatic textures; shadows...

After this patch:

- Just one lock-up on join server. (Never happened before) Fluke?

All-in-all, there really hasn't been a performance enhancement that I can jump up and down over. But I can honestly say, it's not worse than it was, which is good, considering some people's performance have suffered post patch, and I've never had a performance problem.

My overall review: "Meh."

The spawning is borderline criminal at times. When you spawn in the middle of a group of enemies and get hit with 10,000 rounds and 16,000,000 knife slashes, it's time to take a look at the spawn logic.

(Okay. Maybe exaggerating a bit but, you get my drift.) :D

Try to dual boot XP. I know it sounds like a pain, but check my thread history, I wrote a guide for this and it shouldnt take you long to set up. At least then you can enjoy the game.

in fact here is my thread:

If you tried everything else, you dont have much to lose.

LOL, i was thinking of dual booting Win 3.1, my theory is even more free ram for the system. I bet you I will be 1st in map EVERY TIME! FTW!

I run this game well. It ran well before the patch, but it doesn't seem that the patch even did anything anyway.

I agree and should of been fixed a long time ago. But even the console has that issue. That shows me Tryarch can't do ♥♥♥♥ right. Even though that is an issue I'm seeing those who had none now complaining. In fact some of the same ones who bashed those who had issues since day one. Yes it's good to see some never had an issue. But now those who were talking crap I have no sympathy for you. Game ran like crap for me but now runs fine.

So what does that say. Well first of all it shows how one game and a few idiots can divide the PC community. I for one being an older gamer know ♥♥♥♥ happens. But I would never beat down a fellow gamer because he has issues. Yes some should just throw the PC out the window. But even those like me who have the skills got screwed on release day. So even though I have no remorse for you I think everyone should back each other up and demand a working game. We all know this engine has been used before so WTF is going on Tryarch.

To those who responded with specs I say thanks. In fact I wish everyone would respond. I want to make a copy of everyone's specs and send it to Activision and Tryarch. In that letter I would ask for the resumes they received from those who work for Tryarch. In the end I bet they show degrees from ITS Institute of Gaming "I'm To Stupid". What gets me is how can they screw up after all the community has posted. And what else would be nice is for everyone to send them letters. Even if it works send one explaining how disgusted you are. Let them know that some of your brothers and sisters can't play.

Keep in mind that when people are united things can get done. It's just like with governments. They know if they can separate the masses they can do what they want. So even if you had no issues and do now unite and demand a fix that works for all. If not tell them you expect your money back. And trust me you'll get it. No one pays for something and is expected to wait for it to work. Just like you I pay to play not wait.

My 2 cents which is all we should have had to pay for this game.

You must be playing at a very low resolution.
