There are only approx. 2 servers up with below 60 ping, rest are 200~ :-/
Anyone got any plans on hosting any?

EU should def throw up at least 2 dedicated servers. It would help their testing immensely imo.
But i think everyone is waiting for the dedicated server files. I dont think they have been released yet

well i was disappointed about the lack of EU servers, but then i've just launched a listen server and it was full in a few minutes (i'm from EU region myself).
I also think that people are waiting for devs to throw some server files our way. Linux server files in particular. The good thing is that dedicated server is not loading my cpu as badly as Valve's dedicated servers, so i might as well host one myself but not on 24/7 basis.
So anyway, yeah, i think when devs will release the separated server files and they won't be bound to a particular account, the situation will greatly improve. Cheers!

Erm...pardon? Horrible how? Laggy? Most servers i saw are laggy as hell. And theres no way to tell if it's a listen server or a dedicated one.
Not to mention that theres no option to make a dedicated Blitz server.

exactly.
listen servers are just games hosted by someone with a piss poor connection, piss poor PC or both.
And you're right. There is no way to tell them apart right now. UE said they are working on that.

Well, you see, that is kinda strange. I already pointed out that a buddy of mine who lives like 20 minutes away from me gets some strange lag issues from time to time. The funny thing is that i host a listen server in TF2 very and i do mean VERY often and i get no problems at all. People connect to it and enjoy the game, no lags or studders but i can't tell if it's a listen-server-related problem just yet.

tough to compare.
The host will never get lag because he is the host. However, the game is in beta and im sure many adjustments to the network code and other things will need to be done.

Ofc i don't get any lags because i'm a host. I meant to say that my buddy is getting some lags, even though he lives like a couple of blocks away and never had anything like this before, which brings me to believe that it's a networking code issue. But then again, you're right, it's a beta and i hope this will be fixed.
So, i should try to run a dedicated server, i guess? Or in case of lags it doesn't matter?
p.s. check the connection with listen server in Blitz, all my friends are playing fine. No probs at all. I guess the problem is only in Crossfire for us.
