Serious: White Screen Bug.

I have seen the issue, now more than 30 days old discussed here:

I bought this today, with the sale...in the hopes of getting the treasure hunt objective. Lo and behold, nothing. I see some stuff, but most things show up white.

I sent them my dxdiag and one of the output files. Nonetheless, this game should not have been included in Treasure Hunt if there is a rather serious bug over 30 days old.

What I want to know is, when should we expect a fix? Im not too honked, it was only $2.49. I am more annoyed at not being able to nab the objective.

Right click the game in library, go to properties, select launch options, then paste this in: -nosound -window -dxlevel 70 +mat_forcehardwaresync 0

This works on a lot of steam games, apparently. They do not check to see if anything is compatible before putting it up, especially not these weird little games.

You can then mess around with those launch options to see what was the issue. But anyway, you can get the achievement this way most likely.

No dice. According to their output, it's a GL 1280 error, which, if I read it right...is because they are loading textures with whacked out values. Tried dxlevel with 7, 8 and 9 paths.

I'm not upset about the 2 bucks. Im honked that Valve would let a game with a serious flaw like this participate in an event.

Oh, well too bad for that, then!

I can only get it to run without sound and was rather annoyed when I thought I could not play it. It is a really poor choice to put up a buggy game on the last day.

Amusing that this game is now on sale again.

Firemint has still not fixed this issue, now well over a month old. Anyone looking to add to this to their library should realize this game will not run on some video cards. I was able to run this on one of my desktop machines, which has a very old RAGE 128 card. This game loads only a WHITE SCREEN on my new Lenovo G550, Win 7 64B.

Be aware before you buy! Firemint seems to have very lackluster support.

Hey guys, as mentioned on our support site we are still working on this issue. Very sorry for the slow response, and thank you to all that have provided information on it so far.
