About the archivement for the treasure hunt

You only need to get 37 planes landed once !

After that, you just have to look at the global section of the highscores of THAT map. Every time you look there and have your scores not uploaded already, the game will see this and try to upload.

Because of the treasure hunt you will get lots of errors here.

But you can use alt-enter to have the game as window and continue to do your other stuff and sometimes just look=upload at the highscores.

How do you unlock the non-HD version of Beach? I only have HD Beach on map select. The interface is confusing!

Can you just tell me what map # it is?

I got it from another thread, tried it and got the treasure hunt point.
It is just the fifth (5th) map.

About unlocking I can't help you.
I have lots of maps unlocked, but I normally only play the first one.
And try to get over my magic 55. :-(

I don't think this has anything at all to do with valve.
It is a small game and I don't think they expected to get lots of players, so the database is small too I think.
Just keep trying...

This treasure is completely screwed. First the page says I have it, then I don't... the best thing is that TF2 erased my 5 treasures hat :X

I did no treasure hunt before today, but I can say that if the objective from this game is gone, just reload the steam page. Then it is back ;-)

If you can't sync, click "I have this problem too" on the offical support page (http://getsatisfaction.com/firemint/topics/flight_control_hd_will_not_sync) for this problem to draw attention to it.

I landed 49 planes and when 2 pink planes crashed (too busy with the many choppers lol). anyway, it unlocked when at the "retry" screen. I know because i checked in Steam and the objective was immediately unlocked.

Refresh, it unlocks and locks and unlocks and locks and you don't get to keep your hat if it's the 15th objective.

What is going on? I managed to land more than 37 planes on that level and the achievement keeps unlocking and re-locking! Do I not deserve the hat or something? What is wrong with the system? Tell me so I can fix it before the 20th.

It unlocks/locks randomly if i refresh page. sometimes will unlock, sometimes not. there does nto appear to be a guarrantee it will lock.

I think it's just Flight Control HD's leaderboard getting overloaded by all the traffic and being down now and then, which causes your objective to be invalid again.

Got the same problem. The treasure is unlocked, then locked again. I can't see a pattern in refreshing the page either. Weird thing is, I got the game and played the THIRD map to 37 planes (and more) and got the treasure then. Then it was locked again, so I started the game, looked through my scores and then it was unlocked again.

Never saw the global leaderboards. Always errors (timeout or error 40).


It would be my 10th treasure so... I would really like to make sure I got it unlocked.

Same here, it unlocks and gets locked again (5th map w/o the Carrier).

I guess it's a problem on Firemints side so I just wait, they probably fix it like the last achievement with the game trailers.

Same here. I had it unlocked a few hours ago and now it is locked again. I am keeping it as my 10th achievement for the grand prize but this way I can't be sure :(

Same here. It keeps unlocking and locking, and this is my 15th objective. I'm not a TF2 hat enthusiast (I've been meaning to get this game's PC version for a while) but I was kinda hoping to get the Treasure Hat. :(

On a side-note, I played this on my iPhone earlier and tried to access the leaderboards. I got the same errors there.

This game is available on iOS (iPhone/touch/iPad), Mac, PC and PS3. I might be wrong, but it seems like they're using the same leaderboards (or just the same server) for ALL platforms. :eek:

Keeps unlocking and re-locking on the Treasure Hunt page. My guess is the servers that host the score data are overloaded. Here's hoping Steam will fix the problem Monday morning.

If you check while the game is running or just after playing the game you stand a better chance of having it unlocked. If you upgrade your hat while it gives you the option and the hat upgrades in tf2 then it will stay that way regardless of if it relocks its self.

Last hat looks dumb anyway.. why didnt they allow you to unlock all three hats... just last one shows up thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
