Game Hangs, Then Crashes at Start-Up Screen

Downloaded the 360 emulator as recommended in other threads, and placed the config files in the binary folder, but all I keep getting is a hang up at the start screen, then an appcrash. Any ideas?

i have got the exact problem except i am not using any emulator the game starts up gets to the topgun on the screen and then it crashes :\
