Can't manipulate the menu in SW

So I am unable to select New Game when I load up Strangers wrath.

I have pressed every button on my keyboard, yet I can't start the game. Please help

Do you have a controller plugged in? If so, use the controller, or unplug it and start the game again.

Devs say, either have 1 controller plugged in, or none at all.

I tried unplugging it and nothing. I tried it with it plugged in, and still nothing

Have you unplugged the controller while the game was not running? It doesn't run quite like a console game. Close SW, unplug the controller, start it back up.

The game can't even run in full screen mode for me and the framerate makes it unplayable, my mouse won't even stay anchored in the windowed game and keeps coming out to my desktop and task bar so when i click to shoot or do anything it freezes the game and i have to click back in the window
