Compare MoW to these other games...

If u have played any of these games, how does MoW compare - in terms of (most importantly) actual gameplay (and meta-game play), but also overall quality. It's hard to tell exactly what it's like, from screenshots...

...Silent Storm?
...Fallout Tactics or other tactics games?
...Blitzkrieg?
...Commandos?
...Rush for Berlin?
...others?

Yes, I am DLing the demo now ;) , but a word or two from those who have experienced several of these games would be helpful as well.


Also, is the store page info correct in stating that the base game has multiplayer but the Red Tide expansion does not?


Any other info to assist 1 way or the other in making a purchase decision? TY.

I dont have Red Tide but I am pretty sure its the same.
The best thing about this game imo is multiplayer coop with a friend where you can play the campaign missions. Also a lot of great maps is available for free as download and so far it have given me 50hours with only coop.

Its difficult for me to compare it with other games but its like a realistic coh where you need to micromanage your units and there equepment.

I was really positive supriced about the game.

fallout tactics + commandos + Company of Heros = Men of War
its really fun,but micromanaging instead of 8 people like in fallout your micromanaging about 30 things,while telling them where to go.the AI is a little jagged around the edges,sometimes your soliders can defend themselves other times tehy wont.its a fun game overall,a little aggruvating if your not playing with anyone to ease yourstress on skirmish but overall its fun,just like me i have pen and notepad to write down what is going where, to do what. if you liked commandos youll like this

I own Blitzkrieg, several Sudden Strike titles and have played Commandos. MoW is closer to Commandos, but like a distant relative. Your doing the right thing by DLing the demo, and with new MoW titles coming out you should be able to find MoW for a great price.

MoWRT is SP only, no MP.

needless to say - lvl 12 get the !tag perk and use energy weapons, don't forget to put your boat back into your inventory and, most of all, vet2 def pio spam ftw.

Soldiers Heroes of WWII and Faces of War.

MoW is basically the sequel to these two games. ive played both of those since release, and MoW is the best of all three.
