I would love to buy this game, but when it was first released, all in-store/boxed versions had DRM in them. Therefore, it was no-sale for me.

Looking at Steam store page, there is no mention of DRM, but still wanted to confirm if EA and Maxis apply DRM to this game or not.

Spore still has a form of DRM but its Steam DRM so I don't have any problem with it.

Securom was removed, however you still have Steam and Spore also must register online at ea.com (Spore will do this on first launch) but other than that you are never bothered with DRM again ;)

then it's a yes to infinite installs? considering the fact that i went through all three of mine on the same computer due to consistent reinstallations of the operating system.
