Frame Rate Issues

I keep getting huge framerate issues in the cut scenes and some of the levels despite my RIG being more than capable of running this game on high at 1600x900 resolution. I tried turning various video options off with no success. Is there anyway to solve this? At times it is really annoying. I found a similar issue in GTA San Andreas when flying through black wisps and clouds. Help me please :(

I'm having the same issues. Getting through the basement level where you fight Russel (not really a spoiler, it's obvious you'll have to fight him at some point :P) was a lag-tastic nightmare, but I did it. I'm looking around the internets hoping to find something. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Notes: 1920x1080 res; had problems at 1600x900 as well. Changing AA doesn't seem to help

One question, how the hell did you get the game running?
Mine just crashes when trying to load the first mission.

EDIT: The problem fixed itself, but I noticed that the FPS aren't very good. Anyone got a fix for this?
