Overlord 1 profile problem

Ok, so i played this game once, right after i downloaded it, for a few minutes. everything worked fine. now i start the game, i get to the profile selection, click on the profile, get a "loading" animation for a second and get right back to the profile selection screen! i tried deleting my profile, start a new one, but for no use, i can't get past the profile screen...

Any suggestions?

Verify your game cache, due to the amount of people downloading the game with all the hiccups theres bound to be missing files, happend to me on the 1st day sale so thats probably yours as well.
