There are certain spots in each map, secret spots, where you can stand.

If there's a chopper in the air and you have the crossbow as your weapon, if you stand next to those special spots which can be used as anchors and fire a bolt at the chopper, you fire a harpoon bolt with a cord just like in singleplayer, and then the chopper goes down.

This is very hush-hush though, so yeah!
