1.99 euro, is this game good?

I wonder if this game is enough good to buy it? What are good stuff in here and bad? Are there any bugs that are never been fixed, because two weeks ago it's price was 31.99 euros and now before x-mas it dropped down to 7.99 euro....

I've been interested in checking this out, but as far as I know it's practically a multiplayer game only, so it kinda stands or falls on whether there are people actually playing it or not. The low price kinda suggests the latter, but I would be happy to be pointed out wrong here. :)

There aren't many people online in this game. You are lucky if there is even one full server. But it does have an excellent offline multiplayer (vs bots). For 2 bucks you cant really go wrong. It is one of my favorite multiplayer games. But i mostly play offline because the lack of players that plays the game. However this can change because of the very low price of the game right now.

The sequel Prejudice comes out early next year for only 15 bucks. (with has a full fledged SP and (offline) MP and Co-op(swarm mode). I am in the beta and i am really enjoing it. But Section 8 for only 2 bucks is a steal.

I just found out they will soon release a much more complete version of the game, for only about 15$ called "Section 8: Prejudice" so unless you want some practice before that it seems kind of a waste to buy this.

But then again I'm a big fan of timegate's kohan series so I might get this anyway just to support them a little :p

In store page pictures looks good but when i check gameplay video i don't know... :/ Choose your weapons, armor and more; don’t be restricted to a class such as ‘scout’ or ‘medic’ so it means that there is co-op in this game? How many classes there are in game except medic and scout.?

You create you own classes form scratch. You can get an Sniper Rifle and an Assault Rifle if you want. Or a Shotgun and a Missile launcher. You also have upgrades for your suit (more armor, shields etc.) And you also can add 2 equipment things. Such as a Repair tool, mortar, grenade etc. There isn't really co-op in the game. There is a mode where you play bots vs humans. But i dont know if people play it right now.

If you're willing to spend the cash, go ahead and get it. The game is in it's twilight, but the sequel, Section 8 Prejudice, is coming Q1 of 2011 for $15

So if anything, it'll get you mostly used to the playstyle(DCMs, hacking CPs, tweaking loadouts, etc)

A clanmate played it around 1 1/2 hours few hours ago. He was impressed. He really likes it. I bought it too now. He said that there weren't really muhc servers. But enough. And i think that the game will get a little revive if enough people buy&play it :)

There's been quite a few posts on TimeGate's forums saying there's been a sizable influx of players since the sale started.
Last I heard, all the TG servers were full and there were a handful of user-run servers going

The game is awesome. The community is small making the playing experience less awesome except on weekend after noons where there seems to be at least one busy server.
