I already own this game on disk, but with the steam sale I'm considering getting it on steam as well for convenience.

Are there any downsides to the steam version when compared to the disk version?

You have to be online to play it.

I'm sure it works in offline mode, but I figured "besides the obvious" didn't need to be stated. :)

i own the cd with bonus disk and rush hour as well. the only way i will rebuy this game again is
1. if it was bundled with other games
2. I lost or broke the CD's

This could also be a way to encourage Maxis to make Sim City 5 Faster if you buy it.
