View Full Version : New AWP bug with 12/28 Update

If you hold down fire when using the AWP, you will see that the rate fo fire is significantly increased. You can shoot 3 bullets in 1 second and empty a clip in just over half the time it usualy takes.

I think it's time to implement the AWP delay + negation of zoom penalty now since you will be messing with the rate of fire to fix this bug :}

Also, when you jump with the AWP, and land ion the ground, it takes like 4 seconds for the shot to be accurate again according to the recoil debug brackets, and when you shoot, the shot goes nowhere near the crosshair for a long time. That's a sooper bug

I think they changed it so not using quickswitch has the same fire rate as quickswitch. And I think that's a good thing. I don't like the incredible slow firerate 1.6 has.
The accuracy thing should be kept in the accuracy thread.

It is not clear what the bug is that you are reporting. The rate of fire for the AWP is 1 round per second. Are you seeing something other than that?

Yes, it is 1 second NOW, but it wasn't until the last update. I just checked in current Final:

Beta - ~9seconds
Final - ~13seconds

(I just did that once so that's not really accurate, but you see the difference)

EDIT: oops. I counted very slow, yes it's one bullet per second now, but the BETA update log says nothing about it, so surely it's a bug?

Noscoping seems to much more precise as well. Try going around no scoping with sv_showimpacts 1 on.

Don't think so. Couldn't see any difference. The expansion of the accuracy box is also the same as before.

The awp seems pretty bugged right now.

1. If do a crouchjump pick it takes way too long for the fire cone to become fully accurate (crouchjump, scope, land)

2. It feels normal when you quickpeek in scope (while in scope press strafe the press the opposite key to stop) but if you do it out of scope and then scope in before you want to stop and shoot ( strafe, scope, stop) the fire cone does not return to accurate properly.
