I was checking Steam for the Half-Life expansions after only recently playing Half Life: Source (Yeah I know I'm a little late to the game) and I noticed Opposing Force and Blue Shift. Noticing that there was no explicit mention of Source in either of their titles or descriptions, and finding nothing through Google except mods, I was just wondering if the two expansions work with HL:S. Any help appreciated.

They don't work with HL:S, only with the original Goldsrc release.

They are stand-alone games. You can buy them separately.

Or you can buy the HL1 Anthology, if you're interested in playing mods made for HL1 (I don't know if any mods were made for HL:S--mods made for HL1 don't work in HL:S).

The only HL:S mod I know of is Enhanced, which is pretty much a baby Black Mesa. Instead of completely remaking Half-Life, they only polished it up. But they did an excellent job with it, I totally reccomend it.

Look up Heart of Evil: Source. It's a HL1 mod ported to Source.

The two expansions are standalone? Cool, and thank you. Is there a big difference between the original engine and source?

Other people will likely answer, but here's the thread HL and HL:S differences (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1137323).
