Fishing net @ Turlte Beach

Hey scurvy dogs
im actually having a problem makeing the salamagundi for the captain... me parrot tells me to pick up a fishing net at the beach but there is no fishing net at all... clicked everything more than twice... then googled it and found a pickture of the beach with the net but there is no net in my game :confused: :eek: is this a bug or am i doin it wrong????

There is a way to get stuck here. At least in my game. If you fail to ask about the salamagundi the first time you talk to Cooper and then end the conversation the fishing net will never appear. I had to start my game over and the only thing I did different was mention the salamagundi, end the conversation and of course the fishing net appears. I'm not sure this is an intentional game mechanic.
