View Full Version : Greed Corp is... strange

I've played this game for a while. It's pretty understandable and I even would want to see more units/options. But hell, it's as strange as hell. Walkers looking like chickens, windmills crashing the terrain, and all these standing on skyhigh stone pillars.

Still, tactics is good. Gotta dig it a bit deeper.

It does indeed have a rather surreal art direction, but that's what helps give the game its charm.

Of course it's weird, I doubt I would have bought it if it wasn't :3

And the music just tops it off perfectly. It's a game of tactics, that doesn't take itself too seriously - as so many casual games try to do these days. There's definitely nothing like it (that I've seen) currently out, and originality in video games has become a rare commodity.

I kind of like the minimalist approach to the units and structures. Having such limited options makes the game actually feel deeper in a strange way.
Chess only has 6 different unit types assuming you don't count the bishops separately, and two of those units are special (King and Queen). Greed Corp has 5 units (counting the transport and structures), and varying maps that are all altered by actions.
