I played NWN1 a lot, got involved in DMing and building for a server. And now playing NWN2, I have a module in mind, that I think would be truly beloved (in concept at least).

So would anyone who know a bit about the process, care to advise me on how to get started?

To avoid the obvious question: The idea is a primitive human society, is dealing with the gods of day and night who live in the skies. The gods demand large amounts of food be packaged and offered up to them; and also drop terrible monsters into the wilds, then give heroes magical weapons to protect the farms and temples.

The status qua is threatened by a cabal of elves, who wish to poison the offerings; then return to the sky from which they are descended.

Look in your NWN2 directory under Documentation sub-directory and there's a toolset documentation sub-sub-directory.

Other than that, there's some good community written manuals on NWVault.

Get ready for a learning curve; you're not in Kansas anymore Toto if you're going from the NWN toolset to NWN2 toolset.

Likely I'll have a single player version ready for summer. Right now I just wanted to make a place, to dump all my thoughts into; and maybe get feedback from others... Along with more ideas.

My plan is to build it so that it could support being used as a PW, yet be fun to explore for a bit without that. I know I would not run a server off of my computer, more than a day or two a week; which limits what I can do.

It is odd, I have minimalist ideas for how to do many things; yet a broad scope of what I'd refine: For example, heal spells should be spread over a couple turns, and also include a percentage, so that they work decently on fighters.
