Getting kicked by punkbuster all the time...[HELP]

Hey there.
Recently i(finally) managed to finish the downloading of BC2 on steam. I play on W7. First time game(like the all next times) game launched fine. I got into menu, did a login, created a character, cd key was fine. Then i tried playing. First i tried playing in PunkBuster server.. It went to map loading screen(where you can see backround, objective etc) and then suddenly it went black(all the times i tried to join server w/ punkbuster on that happened) and after ~10 seconds it went to menu, popping out error:

"You have been kicked from the game. The reason is:
Punkbuster kicked player "name" (for 0 minutes)...
RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure : PnkBstrA.exe"

I've played in servers with punkbuster off and all was fine. Only the bad thing these are not ranked meaning it's like practice. How can i play in punkbuster servers then? D:

yo man, go to punkbusters site: http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=dl-bc2.php

Download pbsetup.exe, run it, select bad company 2 and click update. Voila! All sorted.

Yeah, really. I mean PB has been around for many years now and its always the same problem over and over and over. Google it, every gaming and clan thread has it mentioned.

And guess what, if that doesnt work, then its your firewall/antivirus.

i had the same problem after the last big patch. I had to delete my pb folder from the BC2 dir, and manually install the PB client off their site.

well they did stress that after that patch you would HAVE to update punkbuster

If it doesn't work after a PB update check your router and firewall settings.

who stressed it? Steam auto-patched the game when i wasn't even at my comp. How are you supposed to know you have to update PB manually?

Because not everyone is familiar with Punkbuster. Just because you've been playing games that use it and are familiar with it doesn't mean that everyone else is. There are lots of new gamers, new multiplayer gamers, old gamers who just started playing again after 6 or 7 yrs etc. Just because you know something it doesn't mean everyone else in the world knows it.
