What do you guys think about:

1) The next part of the current expansion?

2) The expansion coming this summer and/or DUST 514?

1) I'm hyped and glad because I didn't realize you could pose your character when I created him  The NPC attacks sound interesting, figure that should get some good use out of my catalyst :D (hopefully they don't catch me in my salvager too often though :O)

2) I have mixed feelings about being able to walk around on the stations. First thought that comes to mind is Mass Effect 2 where you land somewhere, then jog, and jog, and jog to your destination. This isn't always a bad thing but sometimes it's annoying if you're just trying to pick up an upgrade or take care of something quickly. Here's hoping if they go that route with the stations that we can run like maniacs if we're in a hurry (though I admit that would be funny to watch).

I am very partial to being able to dock, do what I need to and undock in a rather quick capacity. On the other hand I believe it could add more immersion and possibly reward us as players with the ability to take part in activities around the stations. (I'd imagine stations in low-sec to be 'seedier' locations and that would be interesting to see). Also will be cool to be able to interact with people in a more personal way.

In regards to DUST 514 and the relation to EvE I'm hyped up! I don't personally own a 360 or a PS3 (though I may obtain a PS3 eventually) as I am primarily a PC gamer thanks to Steam (and Steam sales ;)), however I know a lot of people who do own these consoles who are into shooters whom if they allow the interactions that many of us are hoping for will work for my corp. I could just see myself using ISK to ship them weapons... I love how expansive this game is and I appreciate that CCP is taking the time out to further expand on what is already a great game.

I am really excited for the next part of the expansion, especially the new character creation tool. That is definitely going to soak up a lot of time and I know I am going to enjoy every second of it. I was able to fiddle with it when it was on the test servers, but it was buggy beyond belief so I have had to resort to watching the videos of it.

Furthermore, I am quite excited about walking in stations. There are times in EVE I am waiting for something, such as a planetary transfer cool-down to finish, so it would be nice to walk in stations and interact with others player. Thankfully, most of the players in EVE are very pleasant and nice people so it would make it even more enjoyable than something in, say, World of Warcraft. Of course, one cannot forget the impact this would have on role-playing (which I do not participate in myself), so I hope the role-players of EVE enjoy it as much as we do - if not more! In response to your comments above, I am certain that objectives of missions in your journal won't require you to do anything in stations.

DUST 514 is going to be interesting. My only concern is that it's risky territory, considering the demise of other games in the same genre. I wish CCP all the best with it and I really, really hope it's successful. My main interest is seeing how it'll affect the gameplay of an entirely different game, EVE - first time this has really been done in a good way, and even more so that both console and PC gamers will be affecting the experience of EVE. That in itself is very, very interesting.

I'm hoping that there are significant variations in stations once we're able to walk around. I mean, you know that Jita is going to be a sight to be seen -- but I hope that there are different 'off the beaten path' stations in lowsec and nullsec to see too.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I hope there's a reason to want to visit different places. Unlike today where when your ship has spun in one station, it has pretty much spun in them all.

The thing about DUST 514(and I'm a console FPS player) is that we get extremely competitive and trust me, there are more college kids than younger kids playing. Its going to be interesting because for one- there are a lot of shooters for Xbox 360 and PS3. It has to be great, if it is, it will be played. We know trash when we see it. 2nd) You can recruit some really great players to be on a team. Do not expect them to play together for very long. We get a lil EGO driven and the word "beast" gets thrown along a lot.

I play EVE and play a bunch of shooters on Xbox 360. Should be fun and hilarious.
