So I bought MoH when it was on sale just now aaaand I can't get the multiplayer to work. Whenever I join a server, the game crashes during the loading screen. Task manager tells me the executable is not responding and the only way to shut it down is by killing the process in task manager. Singleplayer works fine.
What's wrong?

Did you run the single player first? You need to do that its in the store page of it.Hope it helps

As I said, the singleplayer works fine. I've beaten the first level. Multiplayer still doesn't work... which is weird, because I played the beta with no problems.

Try "verify integrity of game cache". Something similiar happened to me on the SP, i was just finished with first level, then game crashed, then i verified files, and it worked again.
Hope it helps :)

Tried it, integrity was verified. There's nothing wrong with the files.

Do you use realtek onboard sound cards? BC2 had problems with these soundcards and if you do its likely the same problem as MoH MP runs on the same engine as Bc2.

]The MP is broken for me. I somehow got into a round when I launched it for the first time, played for about two minutes, then it died.
-Verified the files. Still died.
-Played the SP with no problems. Still died.
-Restarted steam. Still died.
-Created new online persona. Still died.
-Restarted computer....still died.
This is the second time I've downloaded a broken purchase during this sale. I am not happy.

I checked my device manager and all I got was that it was a "windows High definition sound device." I had no issues with that in BFBC 2 though.

Yes, I use a realtek sound card, but BC2 runs perfectly for me.

Hello All
Single player worked fine but multiplayer kept crashing on launch. This is a fix I found and it's done the trick. Driver 9 worked for me:
1. Goto “ C:Users/Documents/EA Games/Medal of Honor/MP
2. Open the file named as “settings.ini “ in a notepad format.
3. Now change DxVersion=Auto to DxVersion=10(or 9 or 11)
Good luck!
Cassick
Try that!

That worked! Runs like butter now. Thank you very much. :) I changed it to DxVersion=10, for those wondering.

The game is still broken, even after I made the DXversion change.
I reinstalled the game earlier and was able to play combat mission for many rounds, no problems whatsoever. I also ran sector control and still no issues.
I tried to play team assault however and the game went back to crashing on every game mode. Something's really messed up here.

I downloaded this off Steam so I do not have all these EA files saved to my computer... at least my computer wont find them. I have all these same problems, it's f'ing rediculous. The Multiplayer will not start, never did. Beat Single player without any issues. Jesus how irritating! Someone tell me how to make this thing work.

Go into your program files, then steam, then steam apps, then common. Your Medal Of Honor folder will be in there with all the game files.
