Ep1 not launching

I press Play, see the "Preparing to launch" window, and expect to see the intro. Instead, it shows me as in-game for about a second and a half, and nothing happens. I've had this problem before (with Red Faction: Guerrilla), but it fixed itself.

I've tried all that I've thought of (rebooting Steam, rebooting the computer, verifying integrity), but nothing seems to have helped.

Basically, make sure Windows and your drivers are up to date. You may need to make an exception in your antivirus/firewall program.

What internet security program are you using?

Drivers updated, cache verified again, still no go.
