on NFS site there's a patch to download, and it says nothing about steam users shouldn't download it.


anyone knows anything about this?

Well, the game doesn't work for me - at all.

So I may try it.

Nope.

Ran it and it is just searching for a folder to install it to.

I could see it digging into steamapps, but it didn't patch.

Hopefully a Steam patch comes around soon. This won't even launch for me.

Patch #1 should already be applied to Need For Speed on Steam.

The Patch #1 fixes issues with headlights and sirens not having any glow effects. As well as adding some basic rain effects to the game.

Patch #2 should resolve a few more issues.

I have the retail and it worked for me before the patch. Adding it now.

i found only one problem, the game drops major fps in lots of places, mostly cornes.

any ETA on that patch #2? and will it fix this?
