Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops use Steamworks and VAC. Activision saw a smart service and jumped on it.

Battlefield STILL uses Punkbuster and EA servers and will continue to use them for Battlefield 3. EA is still trying to fight Steam rather than intergrate with them.

Until Battlefield makes the switch, the series will always be pathetic.

Also you'd be surprised how few cheaters we actually see while playing the game. You see the popular a game is, the more likely it is to take all the cheaters.
