Game-ending bug

Okay, so I beat Ego Draconis today (HELL of a downer ending!) and I'm encountering a bug that prevents me from continuing into Flames of Vengeance - namely, that after the final cutscene in the game, it attempts to load up... then freezes.

Anyone else have this issue, or (better still) know how to fix it?
