I went to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com and it said that my CPU failed the minimum requirement, while the RAM, OS, hard drive space and graphics card passed.
This is what it said:
CPU Speed
Minimum: 2.4+ GHz Dual Core Processor
You Have: 2.26 GHz
Am I really dead in the water ? I was hoping to get this game at some point and I don't want to play this game on my PS3.
Thanks in advance.

Does your motherboard let you overclock your processor? If so, you could most likely get it to that spec or a bit higher.

I am not sure. If I can't, does this mean I can't play this game ?

You could still most likely play it, but would just have to lower some settings.

Thanks Feruken. I bought this laptop 2 years ago and was hoping I didn't have to wait until I buy another one to play this game.
It's funny how my PC meet's the minimum spec for Crysis and Crysis Warhead but doesn't meet it for DCUO. I am guessing DCUO is processor intensive due to this being an online game versus the Crysis games being graphics hogs.

if your processor doesn't meet the minimum req., theres a good chance your video card won't either - or just barely meet it. Honestly, it might run better on the PS3 because the game will have been optimized to run on the PS3 better than on a low spec computer/laptop.
Although, if you buy it on steam and it doesn't run, it gives you a great excuse to upgrade to a new computer =)

I can empty my hard drive and that's not an issue. I'm more concerned about the CPU.

I wouldn't worry about your CPU. Reason being is that your 2.26GHz CPU may actually be faster than the min spec CPU that SoE is listing for the minimum requirements. As an example, Counter Strike Source calls for a 2.2GHz(?) dual core, but my 1.8GHz dual core laptop can play it perfectly fine.
I know it may sound weird, but the actual speed of the processor cannot be measured in MHz or GHz. What makes or breaks the speed of a processor is the architecture. Since your CPU speed is so close to minspec, you should be perfectly fine with playing DCU.
