Hey guys, came here to complain... looks like I'm going to be complaining in an ocean of complainers though. I really like this game, lets me release my inner bastard I guess. But it's just not working.

Right now on one of the Ronin missions (Laundry Day) I will get a crash whenever I finish. There's no way around it. I can do the mission to entierty but the cutscene will crash. What's going on?

Having already fixed quite a few of the mission bugs, I can tell you that the code for this game is a complete and total mess. Crashing on cutscenes is a common issue for some hardware, and it is much more likely to occur on the Ronin missions due to the way those are scripted.

There are a couple of way to get around this:

* Just keep replaying the mission until it finally works. Make sure to try and immediately skip the end cutscene after you beat it.

* I'm willing to work with you to try and fix this specific crash if you want to spend the time testing new builds of patch.vpp_pc troubleshooting the issue. If it turns out that I can't actually fix it, then I could at least disable the end cutscene for that mission so you could get past that point and continue on.

Alright, I took the advice of a friend and tried his patch (he said it stops some but not all crashes... not so sure) and it seemed to work for this particular mission. I'm through it now. If you are interested in information on my hardware though so you could find conflicts:

Windows Vista
Inspiron 1720 series Laptop
Intel Core2Duo T7500 - 2.2Ghz
About 3.5GB of Ram
Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT

Idolninja, you've got to help me! I have the exact same problem as prelude does, but i also have the exact same graphics card and possessor. I'm also running it on 7, which is giving me frame rate problems. Unfortunately prelude here has not been on in 4 months, so i am unable to get the patch he used which will properly fix my problems. do you know of any patchs that will fix my problems?

There are no magic patches. Both of those guys simply just got lucky. Your best bet is just to keep trying to beat it.
