Created a toon on both the US and EU server. Played both on and off for about 2 hrs.
Had about a 30min break and then tried to log back in, got up to the character screen pressed play and that was it, game froze, must have tried about 30 times, during this time, there were a couple of updates, but still no luck getting in. Just constantly freezing when I clicked "play"!! This was on both the EU and US sever.
Looked in my task manager and there was a program called “crash report” not sure what that was?? grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Thought there might be some server issues but same thing this morning before leaving for work! just froze when i clicked play on the character screen, tried my other games and no issues with them at all?
Anybody else having the same problems?
Any help would be great please.

No. No issues like that here. :(
And I played all last night and got up early to play before work. I played 3 hours this morning before they took the server down for a scheduled reboot.
I am afraid your system may be having issues with the game. Either graphical, heat distribution, drivers or otherwise.
Hard to say without tons of info.
But just letting you know it has been running great for me.
These are my stats if you need a comparison.
Dual Core 3.2Ghz Processor
Nvidia GTS8800 640mb Vid
4GB of Ram
Intel MoBo
800 watt power supply
Windows 7 64bit with latest updates and SP.
Latest Direct X and Video Drivers installed.
I know Norton utilities are notrious for screwing up games.
I have to deal with it everytime I help a customer with their VPN issues. It really can hinder communication.
Hmm, anything else that may be running in the background to cause these type of issues?

Thanks for your reply.
I don’t know my spec completely but the rig is fairly new...
I7 3.2Ghz processor
6GB ram
ATI 5770 card
1TB disk
Not sure what the power supply is
Windows 7 64bit
I think I have the latest drivers etc
Running free version of Microsoft anti virus
So as you can see a fairly powerful machine.
All my other games run fine, Wow, LOTRO, Crysis, etc
It does every fine until I get to my Character screen and when I click play and then bang nothing!
I’m thinking some files might have got corrupted, maybe worth doing a fresh install? Just can’t understand why it was fine for the first part of the night?
Tried to call the SOE helpdesk, the number they supply it’s all in Italian!
Not sure what to do really!

Hmm, I would most definetly say graphic then.
Because if it dies when you enter the world, then that's a graphical change for sure.
Try the latest drivers.
I mean they could of changed something over night or yesterday that requires you to update those.
If corruption could be it, you can also have it scan all the installed files, rather than reinstall and repatch.

Adam thanks for your help again.
OK will go to the AMD website and see if I can find the latest drivers(I’m sure I did them not too long ago) I hope this is this issue, I have been thinking of upgrading my card!
Somebody else said do a scan and see if anything comes up? Where do you do this at the launcher screen?
