Fighting fun but repetitive.

So I got some time to play the game yesterday and am level 13 i believe. I was just wondering how the fighting changes as you level up higher. I really am digging the skills or whatever but not digging the whole mouse mashing all that much. Maybe i should try a controller? At max level is there still a lot of mouse mashing? or does it go away from that and use more skills? if i try i just run out of power so quick.

Well, in pve I guess you "can" just spam attack button, but you do realise you have block breaks etc that you must use at specific times inorder to stun/counter your enemy?

The combat on the surface does appear to be button mash, but try that in pvp and some pve fights and you will get destroyed everytime, the combat is actualy pretty deap once you start looking into it.

Have you tried to experiment with the physics?
Gadgets -> electro thing -> gas spray -> hero burns = great fun
