Well, when i'm trying to launch game nothing happens. I only see gfx settings and after i press "launch" nothing happens. Why it is so?

Tried setting everything on low, but no luck.

Is game doesn't support it would be logical to show error message like "dude, your pc suxx, you won't see even menu"

Dell D620, c2d 1600, win 7 64 bit intel gma 950

I actually have nearly the same laptop (except that mine has Core Duo, I didn't know they made D620s with C2D) with 32 bit Vista, and though I have managed to get the game running, in practice it is unplayable. Even with lowest settings and resolution framerate was somewhere between poor and seconds per frame.

Trine requires a graphics card with shader model 3 support. If you're tech savvy, you can infer that from the Radeon X800 or Geforce 6800 system requirements. The GMA 950, does not have hardware support for SM3, only a software mode. If it doesn't crash, you get what JLarja experienced, an unplayable game.

For future purchases, if you see Radeon X800 or 6800GT or better, it's unlikely to run on your laptop.

And how did you do this?

Unfortunately Intel GMA 950 is not officially supported by Trine.

I'll PM you with some further thoughts.

And how did you do this?

It was nearly two years ago. I don't really remember, if I needed to do something special. I think I just turned everything down (from advanced settings) and launched it. However, since I have played with software renderers every now and then, I may remember incorrectly, and was actually using something other than GMA to do the rendering.

It was just a test anyway. Message to take home is that it isn't playable on GMA 950.
