1080p High score YoutTube video - 371,250 on chaotic!

Love this game... so I wanted to make a youtube gameplay video that tried to do this game justice but it still kinda turned out like crap.. will work on a good 720p that looks more like the actual game... compression just hates these lines but the final product that I actually uploaded was great! Maybe I can post that on a torrent if anyone is really interested.

This is my highscore so far... 371,250!!! I will keep recording and try to break it.

Well it didn't take long to break that record!

My new high score 904,200 points! and the damnest thing about it was my last ship just exploded like it ran out of time or something... nothing hit me... I was really looking forward to breaking a million.

You can download the originally uploaded video on Vimeo... I might get a plus membership if anyone else is interested in seeing more game play videos. I think I am going to go low res and get some really up close videos just around the ship in slow mo so you can see how crazy it is!

Sure.... do you want the real deal footage I can send I think its around 250Megs... the youtube thing really compressed the hell out of it... I am going to try to make a smaller version maybe 480p that will look just like the real deal.

This looks highly suspicious... Your four shot gun is shooting faster than the fastest single shot gun.

Well the way that it is recorded doesn't always match up the way it is played. the game plays at 60fps or I guess whatever refresh rate your monitor is.... Since youtube can only do up to 30fps I had to either play it at half speed for the 30fps or take out half the frames to get 30.. well actually 29.97 fps. The last video I didn't really edit but I am going to make some trippy effects with me playing.... anyone got any suggestions for something coool.. I was thinking a compilation of some bad [color="#FF66FF"]♥[/color][color="#FF66FF"]♥[/color][color="#FF66FF"]♥[/color] playing by me with some cool effects and NEW music! :P

I saw I have build 10 and I just got this game.. but it looks like there might be a 12 out or something.

I don't know how the leaderboard things work but I dont think my scores get added to any leaderboards. I have about a 3rd of the achievements but all that seems to be very buggy... I just started filming my games cause it was the only way to keep track of the damn score.

This game reminds me a lot of a favorite game called bullet candy which looks great and is also crazy fast paced and insane!

The game is currently at build 10. The leaderboards are bugged right now, and i'm trying to fix it, the code seems to pick the correct board, so I'll be asking a Valve employee to take a look at them for me I think.

Was this game based on bullet candy? BTW I was messing with some cool effects tonight I think I might post up a file of some gameplay later.

Dude, there must be something wrong with the timing on my game. There's no way that gun fires so quickly D: ... mine is so slow compared to this. I'll make a vid later....

I don't think it's the FPS issue either, because your gun relative to the enemies' movements is much faster than mine...

I just had a really good run and ended with a score of 333,625 (http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/4115/arcadia2011013122090217.png) (first time I'm over 175k). I died the second time at 195k, so I used the first two bomb pretty fast to be sure I got over the 200k. After that I just kept going :cool:

I then gave casual a go since I had a good feeling about it. I managed to get around 250k :cool:

Btw, perhaps you should reward the achievements after the game is over. The popup is taking a lot of space which easily can kill you (like the 175k in casual did for me).
