No, weapons are more like BFBC2 / CoD. Don't think there is any rocketlauncher either, but then again we have not seen all weapons yet.

You need as many or more bullets to kill anyone as in BFBC2, not 2 shot kill as in.. CoD.

Haven't played warsow so I can't really compare it with it.
SMART is a movement tool that gets you from A to B, not for preforming flips and what not.

after all that battlefield crap and call of duty crap i actually had hopes in a shooter that takes skill and time to master.

my hopes went a bit down now but i will still give it a try, at a friend or something.

Also he seems to think that playing as a TEAM (objective-based teamplay, that's what this game is all about) doesn't not involve skill.

You are entitled to your opinion mr. op, and are free to NOT buy this game and keep playing warsow (which got an update recently didn't it?) and Q3/Qlive.

That is correct. And with the skill i didn't meant the Team Based Skill, just the individual one.

I know all those "modern realistic" fps have those super fancy assault rifles and stuff, but some refreshing new game with "old" weapons might have been cool.

I know, i play tf2 just for fun , nothing serious actually.

and 3000 isnt much, most of the time game is on while i alt tab, idle etc.

however does anyone know how the performance of brink will be? i heard it uses quake4 engine so it should be good? i hope on 125 fps :p

It uses IDtech4, their last game was also on IDtech4 so I believe they know the engine quite well so 125fps should be no problem... I hope.

Twitch gaming does take a lot of skill, unreal, quake, etc, but they are still not as difficult as gold source cs. But hey, he is right that games just don't require the skill they used to, funny thing is, he only played the semi-skilled titles of his time.
