I started watching some ns2 trailers and gameplay vids on youtube recently. and immidiately recalled the first ns game. had some great moments playing it three years ago. so, is it still active in terms of player numbers, servers etc. (leagues doesnt interest me at all)?? anyone out there still going for some ns1 matches from time to time?

According to this (http://amxmodx.org/stats.php) there are still 29 servers.

wow, according to these statistics (if i understand them correctly) this game is pretty much dead, such a shame
Total Servers: 29, having 703 max players.
Total Players: 61, at 8.68% capacity (51 bots not included)
Player/Server Ratio: 2.10 players per server
man I just hope ns2 brings back some old players and is also going to attract some newer ones. its just sad in general that hl1 mods with which i have practically grown up die off so fast like they hadnt existed at all
ok thanks for this anyway

Very sad. Thankfully there are still bots to play with though.

thanks. say, if you happen to be an active ns1 player, could you tell me are player numbers in these servers consistent or do they only get populated on, say, 11 p.m. sundays and other times immediately drop to near to zero?? Id love to play this game again (I even contemplate buying ns2) but Id be pretty disappointed to see botted servers and no humans playing at all. in fact this is how firearms died for me, suddenly overall player numbers went from ~22 on sunday evenings to less than 2 with only 3 botted servers remaining

Sorry I don't play NS, I've only downloaded it to check the current state.
