Multiplayer Save Options?

Is this possible? How is it implemented for say co-op games?

Also, is the online co-op the same as the single player campaign?

I'm 15 minutes to find out this

Lets say you play a level 1-4 with a friend and then you call it quits for tonight.

He plays one more level before going to sleep.

Tomorrow you'll be able to join his game at the beginning of level 5.

So essentially you can rejoin other peoples games at the start of each level.
