So i was running a 240 gt vid card ( core 2 duo e7500 cpu as well ), anyways last week I went out on got a 460 gtx since there are a few games coming out this year that I want to play, so I fired up BO and it runs worse on the new card and much better on the old card. It just does not make sense...... oh yeah it is Activision so it does make sense.

Same here, decrease in performance from an 8800GT to a GTX460.
Turning shadows off and running @Normal Textures seem to be giving me a constant 60+ FPS.

There is no making sense of it. It's not the hardware that matters. In fact, the better your hardware, the more chances that you'll encounter stuttering and frame drops! It's the game thats broken not the hardware!

Strange. I'm running a GTX 460 and the game runs just fine. Maybe it's your processor? I'm also using a core i5 760.

In a 24 player server i got minimal 90-140 fps with no problems my system specs;
i7 860 @ 2,80 ghz standard boxed
8gb RAM @1600mhz crosshair
gigabyte hd6850
Terrible sata2 HDD 640 gb 7200rpm (change soon to something with sata600)
Crosshair powersupply 520W
Gigabyte pm55 motherboard
Total payed for 750 euros
Ingame graphics:
1600x1200 refresh rate 75hz
Anti-alliasing 8x
Anisotropic filtering max
Texture quality extra
shader warming yes
shadow yes
bullit impact yes
fov max
The way this game was optimized, though it was not purposely put this way, was that the game only runs well with certain hardware, regardless if one piece of hardware is newer than the one it runs better on.

No i think you do with youre short comment ive readed benchmarkes im not only comparing with cod:ba next time dont act smart because youre truly are a dumb f---.
Go to google and type hd6850 vs 460 gtx youll see enough benchmarks

Ran as a smooth as a babys bum on the old card and the cpu is well within min specs that they advertise can run this game. Even on the same resolution and settings it runs like poo on the new card. I spoze it is a matter of playing around with the setting... who knows with this frustrating game.

I shouldn't have to shell out a heap of $$ on a new motherboard and a i7 to play this game.

He is pointing out that the cpu is a huge difference in this game.

you shouldn't have to your right. but that's what it takes to run the game the way you think it should be played.

Yep. People still havent grasped this whole thing. They all think duping a high end gpu will fix all their problems

Have you looked at YOUR waste of money?
Here you've got an overclocked GTX460 768MB beating out an HD5850.

Which says that the GTX460 768MB that I got for $125 is the same speed or faster than your HD6850 that is slower than its predecessor and generally costs over >$175. You paid more for less. How does that make you feel, smart guy?

So you "readed" benchmarks and have the audacity to insult people? I hope to whatever higher power exists that you never get the chance to breed.
